    BHAKTAPUR NIGHT

From the ninth century, for over 900 years, Bhaktapur was the second Kingdom of Nepal & city is still regarded as a showcase of Nepalese medieval town life.

The city's famous craftsmen have preserved the original traditions, build & decorate it's houses, mould it's pottery & adorn it's temples with century old skills & techniques.

We recreate Bhaktapur's Durbar Square. Guests enter through a replica of the town's Golden Gate & are welcomed by hostesses in traditional Jyapuni dress offering "Raksi", the local distilled spirit poured from an aunti.

Two-storied thatched cottages house the craftsmen demonstrating woodcarving, pottery & sweet-making & selling in striking Newari dresses and costume jewelry.

Staff in typical Newari costumes will serve you a banquet featuring the subtle yet varied flavors of traditional Nepalese food.

    EVEREST BASE CAMP THEME PARTY

    BACKGROUND
Since it was discovered in 1852, the fascinating pyramid of rock that is Mount Everest has haunted the dreams of generations of explorers. The first ascent of Everest, far from marking an end to interest in the accessibility of the highest point on Earth, opened the floodgates to hordes of other climbers, trekkers, and tourists into the Solu Khumbu region, noticeably changing the local economy & lifestyle of the Sherpa people.

The evening includes a Puja Ceremony to seek the holy blessings. This is followed by Sherpa Dance with the music of natural sound & monastery music.
